Located in Negombo town, REX has been providing full package of mechanical design and engineering solutions to clients since 1977. The majority of our clients are focused within the Food grade manufacturing, aviation, construction, railway, electronics, automobile, machinery, textile industry and healthcare sectors. Our services include research & development, design, simulation, prototyping and testing in support of new product introductions, mechanical developments, and innovation. We work with our valued partners to provide effective solutions to their complex challenges.
Founded In 1977

REX continuously strives to innovate in providing better solutions for a better world. REX was founded by Mr. Sunil Fernando, in 1977 as a mechanical design and manufacturing services company. In 2000 REX diversified to become a sophisticated machine capacity holding engineering solution provider in Gear Wheel manufacturing in Sri Lanka. In 2019, REX refocused efforts on ICU and Medical bed mechanical design and engineering solutions. Over two decades later, REX has grown into a well- respected corporation with the combined talents of many outstanding engineers and designers providing solutions to clients throughout Sri Lanka and worldwide.
